Floss & Fable

Making homes beautiful.

Floss & Fable

Home decor for modern homes.

Floss & Fable specialises in handwoven home decor, made by me – Rox Bradnick. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, the journey began like many others, with a dream. About four or five years ago, I developed a love for weaving. By day, I am a busy freelancer and I found that weaving not only helped me relax after a busy day but it also gave me a chance to create beautiful things from yarn. It took a few years, plenty of learning curves, and a couple of detours, but eventually I decided to turn this dream into something closer to reality.

The very first Floss & Fable range will officially launch this spring, at a local market in Cape Town. I am working hard to build a collection of handwoven rugs that are perfect for modern homes that love a bit of colour and a bit of comfort. My rugs are great for kids rooms, but they also work well in bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, and any other room. I love working with t-shirt yarn, which has an amazing texture and plenty of versatility. Currently, my rugs include round tasselled rugs, mini mats, and standard rugs in a variety of colours.

Get in touch with any questions you may have and be sure to follow the blog, where I will be sharing plenty of homeΒ decor tips, room to room inspiration, and various other tips and tricks on how to live a sustainable, comfortable life, wherever you are based.

  • One of my favourite things about starting any weaving project is choosing the yarn.
While I mostly love t-shirt yarn and simple cotton yarn, bamboo yarn is also amazing. As a vegan, I always choose plant-based yarns. I'd love to try hemp yarn, which is hugely sustainable with a minimal footprint.
